The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) met with regulators, partners and other representatives of Uzbekistan’s financial market in Tashkent. The event titled New Horizons for Investments was attended by representatives from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, Central Bank and the Toshkent Republican Stock Exchange. During the meeting, the EDB presented its opportunities and plans for financial and investment markets, as well as medium-term macroeconomic trends in the Eurasian region. Topics covered included water resources, economic development prospects and the sustainability of the region’s infrastructure projects.

Evgeny Vinokurov, Vice Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Economist at the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), participated in the final expert discussions on the G20 MDB Roadmap towards better, bigger and more effective Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) during the 4th G20 International Financial Architecture Working Group (IFA WG/IFA MDB) meeting, held on 5 and 6 September 2024 in Seoul, Korea.

Olzhas Bektenov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, met with Nikolai Podguzov, Chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) Management Board, to discuss opportunities for expanding investment cooperation and the EDB’s role in infrastructure projects.

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding during the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation in Astana, Kazakhstan. The signing ceremony was attended by Ms Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Executive Secretary of ESCAP, and Mr Nikolai Podguzov, Chairman of the EDB Management Board.
