The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and the Qazaq Green Renewable Energy Association (Qazaq Green) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to facilitate research and exchange information on renewable energy projects, among other initiatives. The document was signed by Azamat Tyuleubay, Senior Managing Director and Head of the EDB’s Project Division, and Nurlan Kapenov, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Qazaq Green

As of 20 December 2024, the “Work in the EAEU” mobile app, developed by the Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) Fund for Digital Initiatives, has launched public and commercial services for migrant workers in Uzbekistan. This enables individuals seeking employment in Uzbekistan to access the necessary services directly from their smartphones.

The meeting, held on 22 December 2024, under the leadership of H.E. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), represented by Ruslan Dalenov, Vice Chairman of the Management Board, and Karaganda Energotsentr, a 100% subsidiary of Kazakhstan Utility Systems, represented by Flyur Garipov, General Director, signed a 13-year, US $240 million long-term loan agreement to finance the modernisation and expansion of Karaganda Combined Heat and Power Plant 3 (CHPP-3).

Conrad Albrecht, Managing director of Directorate of Sustainability announced that the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) starts reporting in compliance with ISSB standards S1, S2 and disclose its current advancing work regarding climate physical risks of investment portfolio, as well as to report on climate transition/technological risks, raising-up its bar even more in 2025. This announcement was made at the Green investment principles (GIP) working group seminar “Carbon Accounting and Reporting on Financed Emissions” on December 12th in Beijing

The total mutual investment stock in the Eurasian region amounted to $46.1 bln, which is 2% more than in 2022. A major share is provided by private companies (68% i.e. $31.2 bln as of mid-2024). The share of Central Asian countries in the structure of attracted mutual investments exceeded 50% and reached $23.4 bln.
