The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), in partnership with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), is launching an experience-sharing project for the energy professionals from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Named "Supporting Sustainable Energy Development in Central Asia by Expanding Sub-Regional and Cross-Country Cooperation Through the Exchange of Competencies and Knowledge," the project is being implemented with the financial support from the ESCAP and the EDB Technical Assistance Fund

The President was presented with a report on the current results and plans of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB). Last year, the EDB's investment in Kazakhstan's economy amounted to $1.4 billion, while the share of Kazakhstan-based projects in the Bank's portfolio reached 60%.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law on Uzbekistan's accession to the Agreement Establishing the Eurasian Development Bank (EADB). Uzbekistan will become the seventh member of the Bank and the third largest shareholder with a 10% equity stake. The adoption of the law ensures the country's right to full and effective participation in the Bank's activities
