Dmitry Pankin, Chairman of the Management Board at EDB, met with Kokhir Rasulzoda, Prime Minister of Tajikistan, and Abdusala Kurboniyon, Minister of Finance of Tajikistan. The meetings were part of the head of EDB's working visit to Dushanbe on 3-5 August 2016. EDB, the International Investment Bank and Nord Hydro – Belyi Porog signed a trilateral cooperation agreement and agreed on the indicative terms and conditions of financing the construction of two small hydropower plants, Beloporozhskaya HPP 1 and Beloporozhskaya HPP 2, with a total capacity of 50 MW in the Republic of Karelia (Russia)

The Republic of Belarus has received the second tranche of the stabilization credit from the the EFSD, which resources are managed by EDB. The tranche size is US $300 million. Of the total amount of the credit of US $2 billion available to support the reform agenda of the Republic of Belarus in 2016-2017, US $800 million, including the first tranche, have been disbursed to the country by now
