Moscow, 17 November 2014. Last Friday the agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) on the provision of an investment credit to finance agricultural equipment supplies to Kyrgyzstan took effect.
The project is financed by the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund managed by EDB and envisages the provision of US $20 million to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Finance to finance the purchases of agricultural equipment. The loan is extended for twenty years on special beneficial conditions (with an interest of 1% p.a. and a grace period of eight years)
Moscow, 11 November 2014. Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) signed today a loan agreement with Ardshininvestbank, according to which this Armenian bank will receive US $10 million for five years to finance small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Armenia. The agreement was signed by Dmitry Krasilnikov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board at EDB, and Mher Grigoryan, Chairman of the Management Board at Ardshininvestbank.
Ardshininvestbank will select sub-borrowers on its own from SMEs who meet EDB criteria and provide them targeted sub-loans for the advancement of their businesses.
The project will help to create and develop favourable conditions for the sustainable advancement of SMEs, the enhancement of competition, and the improvement of SME competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets. It is being implemented in the framework of EDB-run Programme for the Support and Development of SMEs by Providing Targeted Loan Facilities to Financial Institutions
Almaty, 31 October 2014 . Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and Transtelecom, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), signed a loan agreement in the framework of Transtelecom’s project to launch an automated locomotive power and fuel control system titled Energodispetcherskaya Tyagi in Russian.
In accordance with the agreement EDB will increase its share in the project by providing a KZT 7.5 billion loan to Transtelecom, in addition to KZT 17.5 billion extended in 2013
