The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), as a lead financial institution, and Eurasian Bank, a local commercial bank, have provided US $180 million in long-term debt financing to modernise and expand Ust-Kamenogorsk Сombined Heat & Power Plant (CHPP) (part of the Kazakhstan Utility Systems Group). In addition, the EDB has provided grant financing for the preparation of the project design and cost estimates documentation for the project

The inflow of Asian capital into Eurasian countries in 2024–2025 amounted to US $20 billion, despite a global decline in investment, according to a new report by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) based on the Monitoring of Mutual Investments (MMI) project. Almost half of this increase (US $9 billion) was provided by the Gulf states. The total stock of mutual investments between the countries of the Eurasian region and Asia (China, the Gulf states, Türkiye, India, Vietnam and others) reached a record high of US $176 billion.

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), a leading multilateral development bank supporting economic growth in the Eurasian region, has appointed the Lead Manager for the forthcoming UAE Dirham-denominated bond issuance to be listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX). It will be BHM Capital, the leading financial institution in the capital markets of the United Arab Emirates.

The EDB has proposed a partnership roadmap for MDBs. The Bank's new research “Cooperation of Multilateral Development Banks in Emerging Markets and Developing Countries: Untapped Opportunities” contains seven specific areas for MDB cooperation, ranging from financial resources to regional expertise. According to EDB analysts, this approach will enable MDBs to combine their strengths in order to overcome infrastructure challenges and close investment gaps in developing countries. The formation of strong 'horizontal links' between developing countries, including through cooperation among the MDBs they have established, will play a decisive role in shaping a more sustainable and interconnected global financial architecture

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has released its second report under the flagship Monitoring of Mutual Investments project. The paper focuses on China, the Eurasian region’s leading investment partner in 2025, and shows that Chinese investment in the region continues to grow steadily despite the global decline in FDI flows. Over the past ten years, this investment has increased by 80% to a record US $66 billion by the end of the first six months of 2025. In the past, China invested mainly in extractive industry projects, but now manufacturing and energy projects are becoming new drivers of growth.
